REVIEW & GIVEAWAY: Jack Sprat Magazine

I met Emily White when I stole a dress from her on Facebook. Well, it wasn't a real dress, and I suppose it wasn't really stealing. When a mutual author friend of ours, the fab Ali Cross, tagged me in a post of this monarch butterfly dress Emily had posted ... well, it was all downhill from there. We were fast friends!

Not long after connecting with Emily, I discovered she's the Senior Editor and Owner of Jack Sprat Press, an independent publishing house specializing in the dark and whimsical via great comics, graphic novels, and speculative fiction.

Jack Sprat Magazine

Doesn't it RAWK?!  Yes, yes it does!

But the cover is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this coolio magazine!

What I love so much about Jack Sprat Magazine is that it's inspired by indies.  Being an indie myself, I swoon with that sublime realization.  Within the pages of this inaugural edition, readers will experience a range of deliciously-penned, darkly macabre tales of zombies intertwined with a balanced mix of sci-fi comics and tales of android awakening.  The icing on the cake are the edgy illustrations highlighting flash fiction tales that leave you wanting more.

How about a sneak peak?

I'm not going to give away too many hints about what you'll find in this uniquely dark and quirky magazine.  I hope you'll snag your own copy, and discover the awesomeness yourself!
